Leon Guanajuato Prototype Homes

With differing design rules for post-pandemic living, these designs resemble three model homes for three separate lots in a model luxury living community located outside of Leon, Guanajuato in Mexico. Each home is contemporary in character and comprises three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, generously proportioned living rooms and kitchens, dedicated work from home and exercise areas, a caretaker’s room, and leisure space. A specific focus was on energy efficiency by maximizing natural light so that all interior spaces feel connected to the outdoors and take advantage of the mild and comfortable climate of the region. The interior spaces expand into the gardens both physically and visually to utilize the full lots as much as possible. In addition to the interior and garden, each house has a usable roof terrace to increase the outdoor living space. A landscape particularly tuned into a microclimate is included as an important part of the design of each home. These homes are part of an integrated development initiative whereby plainspace takes a design-build role and coordinates all items necessary for a complete move-in-ready, turn-key project.
