Rimowa Showroom Boston

Boston, Massachusetts, 2016

Plainspace worked together with Rimowa North America to create this unique store at the famed Boston Newberry Street. The existing space was a long and narrow container which lent itself well to the display and visual access of products of varying sizes and types. The design also included a storefront that broke out of the existing building façade to reach out to the sidewalk. This approach is similar in character and scale to a few notable and historical storefronts along Newberry Street. The gesture to the street invited customers to a cool and friendly shop to browse for luggage.
