Marc Albertin

FOUNDING PARTNER

Marc is a principal and founding partner of plainspace. His focus lies in the management and execution of highly detailed projects the office undertakes. He oversees day-to-day operations in the studio including the design and production of many of the firm’s projects.

Marc has worked on a wide variety of project types in both California and New York including housing and institutional work. It was at the office of Peter Marino Architect where he learned to specialize in high-end residential and commercial project types.

Originally from Arizona, Marc’s architectural education developed at the University of Arizona where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture and was later completed at UCLA with a master’s degree in urban planning. Marc holds architectural licenses in several states including New York, California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Hawaii among others. Marc also holds NCARB and LEED certifications and is a long-time member of the American Institute of Architects. Marc is a co-founder of plainspace dpc together with Angelica Ruano in 2001.
